Islamia University of Bahawalpur Organizes 6th International Conference on Innovative Computing Technology (INTECH 2016) and it started on 19th Sep, 2016 and will end on 21.

The three-day event aims to highlight major challenges in computer technologies for the new comers. The event was organized by the university in collaboration with Digital Information Research Foundation (DIRF) UK, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and IEEE United Kingdom and Ireland Section.

The chief guests at the event include:

  • Engineer Mian Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman, Minister of State for Education and Professional Training, Interior and Narcotics Control
  • Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan

Also around 100 participants including some 27 international delegates and 6 keynote speakers are participating in this conference.

The minister in his inaugural address said that:

“Information technology industry in Pakistan is growing and rising as the government is highly focusing on promoting the use of information communication technology. Pakistani IT industry is strongly emerging as a global IT destination and government is developing ICT infrastructure and integrating ICTs in the educational system. The field of higher education has also revolutionised by the advancement of technology.”
