The procedure of getting the judicial e-stamp paper is the same as for non-judicial e-stamp paper. To get the Non-Judicial or Judicial e-Stamp papers, people can visit any nearest branch of Bank of Punjab. They can get it after filling requisite challan 32-A form using the e-Stamping portal. The whole procedure takes only 10-15 minutes. However, earlier it took about two to three days to get e-stamps.

Difference between the Judicial and non-judicial Stamps is that, Judicial stamps are used for administration of justice in courts. Whereas non-Judicial Stamps are used for transfer of property, commercial agreements etc. Moreover, non-judicial stamp papers of worth more than Rs. 1,000 are high-value Stamp papers. Treasury offices of the district can issue these Stamp papers.

The new system would let applicants generate the challan online on their own. The introduction of e-stamp paper is a great step towards revolutionizing old government procedures. The step will also bring ease to the buying and selling of properties.
