A Crazy Fighting Robot at your Disposal

Ever wanted your own personal fighting robot? If yes, you can now fulfill your wish in just under $1600. The price may seem a little over the edge until you see how crazy Zeus (the name given to the bot by pilot labs) is. It was first presented at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in January, having a few complications back then which have been resolved and is now available for purchase on Amazon. The pre assembled version costs $1700 and contains several files for further customizing it. Below is a link to the video from pilot labs.

Fighting Robot: a Deeper look into the Robot

The robot stands tall at 14 inches, weighing around 5 pounds and carriers 22 motors. The motors gift the robot with many different cool fighting moves. Even though it is designed to fight, the robot is not just restricted to just fighting, having the ability to perform other small tasks. The fighting robot gives you about 50 minutes of fight time when fully charged which seems ample time. Zeus comes with a wireless controller, battery and charger. Pilot labs claim that they have already started working on upgrades and future versions which will consist voice control. They aim to install further intelligence features, sensors and computer vision into their robot.

Organizing an international robot fighting contest is another vision of the pilot labs, giving healthy cash prizes to the winners. This is a considerable step in the field of technology and robots which only begs the question: How far off are we from a world in which robots become an integral part of our lives as mobile phones are right now?

Only time will tell.
