A17 Pro Chipset Powering iPhone 15 Pro Is Faster Than A16: Geekbench
The flagship, iPhone 15 series is finally here. If we talk about the processors, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max both come with the new A17 Pro chip, the first to be built using the 3-nanometer process. According to the silicon giant, the A17 Pro is up to 20% faster than the A16 Bionic. The first Geekbench results give us an even better idea of how much faster the new chip is. Do you wanna know? A17 Pro Chipset Is Slightly Faster Than A16
According to Apple, the A17 Pro boasts a GPU that is 20% faster than last year’s A16 Bionic. On the other hand, the CPU is only 10% faster. In the Geekbench test, the all-new A17 Pro attained 2914 points in single-core and 7199 points in multi-core, which is around 13% more than the multi-core score of the A16 Bionic.
There were significant differences when the A17 Pro was compared to older chips like the A15 Bionic in the iPhone 13. The A17 turned out to be 40% faster than the A15. It is pertinent to mention that the new A17 Pro is closer to the multi-core performance of Apple’s M1 chip used in Macs and iPads.

According to the latest reports, the A17 Pro is not considerably faster than the A16 Bionic. The good part is that the new chip brings several other improvements. For example, the 3-nanometer architecture makes the chip more efficient. It reduces power consumption and increases the iPhone’s battery life.
