Al Qadir University will Revive Islamic Research Culture by Offering Sufism Education

Yesterday, PM Imran Khan laid the foundation stone of Al Qadir University in Sohawa near Jhelum. The best thing about this university is that it is the first university providing spiritual education to people. According to Prime Minister, this university will impart modern education to the youth in line with the ideology of Pakistan.

While Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony, Holy Prophet PBUH said that everyone should get educated in order to excel in life and also added that no country can excel without education. PM Imran Khan also added that it is high time to help people of FATA as they are lagging behind when it comes to progress.

Al Qadir University will be a Merger of Science and Spirituality

No doubt, Muslims have produced very famous scientist and researcher in history and the main reasons behind there success was teachings of the holy prophet PBUH. He further expressed his desires to transform Pakistan into an Islamic welfare state on Madina’s pattern.

He said:

We will uphold law and justice and take responsibility for the welfare of the poor, elderly and women, justice and welfare are perquisites of stability and security in a country.

While telling about the goals of Al-Qadir University, he said that it will not only provide education in science and technology but also train students in matters of Spirituality.

“The university will produce scholars who will emerge as leaders of tomorrow and will counter the western influence and negative propaganda against Islam. “It has been named after Abdul Qadir Jilani, who had linked science and spirituality. We consider spirituality a super science; it needs research, which will be conducted here.

He further added that:

“Al-Qadir University will focus on science and technology and contemporary studies of religion with an emphasis on Sufism in order to revive Islamic research to educate our youth in meeting future challenges,”

He further announced that the university will provide scholarships to 35 % of students and they will be given free accommodation besides free education.

It is a very good initiative as no university existed between Gujrat and Rawalpindi. Moreover the goal of emphasizing on Sufism to revive Islamic research culture among youth appraisable.
