Android Oreo Update to Come in September for Galaxy J3, J5 & J7
The anniversary of the Android Oreo update launch is getting closer and it was expecting to receive new software version by certain owners of 2017 Galaxy J devices by the end of next week. Unfortunately, there is a bad news for the owners of the Galaxy J3 (2017), Galaxy J5 Pro, and Galaxy J7 Pro because they will have to wait a bit longer.
According to Samsung Turkey listing, the rollout date has been pushed back by over two months. The Android 8.0 Oreo update is set for a roll out on September 28, 13 months after Android 8.0 Oreo’s initial launch.

However, as this report is found on Samsung Turkey portal so there is a chance these updates might arrive in other regions a little earlier and in Turkey, the owners of the Galaxy J3 (2017), Galaxy J5 Pro, and Galaxy J7 Pro might get it a bit late. The website mentioned that the Oreo update for the Galaxy J3 2017, Galaxy J5 Pro and Galaxy J7 Pro was “in the test phase” with a planned rollout from July 13.
For example, the Galaxy A 2017 series updates are set to hit Turkey next month but they have already popped up in some places. However, there are still many Samsung devices that are compatible with Android 8.0 Oreo but have not received the update so far.
It is to be expected that by receiving Android 8.0 Oreo updates the performance of Galaxy J3 2017, Galaxy J5 Pro and Galaxy J7 Pro will be definitely improved.
