Android Pie Open Beta Update Starts Rolling Out To OnePlus 5 & 5T

OnePlus started rolling out the stable Android Pie Update for Non-pixel Devices back in September. Recently, Oneplus announced in a forum post that the Android Pie Open Beta Update has started rolling out to the OnePlus 5 & 5T.

OnePlus 5 & 5T Android Pie Open Beta Update Will Bring New UI

The latest Update will bring a lot of changes. Even though, the 2017 smartphones who have joined and installed the Open Beta Program now will also get the November Android Security Patch. Moreover, Everyone can join this program and report any bugs via the Feedback page in the OnePlus Community page.

Changes Brought With This Update
  • The Oxygen OS Open Beta for OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5 brings a new UI
  • There are improved navigation gestures now
  • The Oxygen OS Open Beta brings Android 9 Pie with communication improvements
  • The Android Pie OS also brings adjustable settings to the Do Not Disturb mode
  • It brings some improvements for emergency rescue
  • It offers the ability to set up a specific SIM and specific contact or a group of contacts in a dual SIM mode
  • Now you can use  one messaging app with two accounts simultaneously using Parallel Apps theory
  • OnePlus Open Beta is now even wider and includes Telegram, Discord, IMO, Uber, OLA
  • Bug fixes come to Weather App
  • When Search is used, more suggestions can be displayed now

OnePlus 5 incorporates dual camera setup on the rear and 16 MP front camera. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with Dash Charging technology. The proprietary charger takes care of power management and offers to charge in 30 minutes. Furthermore, the handset comes with Android Nougat and the OxygenOS skin on top. On the other hand, OnePlus 5T has 6.01 inches display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone comes with two memory options. Moreover, the handset has 6/8 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage respectively. The phone has Android Nougat operating system.  Moreover, the smartphone has non-removable 3,300 mAh battery.
