Announcing the Winners of NIC Hactivate –A Hackathon for Education!

The National Incubation Center (NIC) concludes its 48 hour hackathon Hacktivate – A Hackathon for Education on the 29^th of July.

This 48 hour hackathon attracted some of the best ed-tech solutions, bringing in participation from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Mirpur, Gujranwala and Peshawar.

A Hackathon for Education!

For Hacktivate, the NIC partnered with educational institutions and organizations working on innovative solutions for education such as Ilm Ideas 2, Jazz Smart School Program, Knowledge Platform, World Learning, Sabaq Foundation, Orenda, The Millenium University College, Bahria University and Nust University in order to highlight the major problems in education.

The two-day schedule was jam packed with hacking sessions, workshops, panel discussions, networking, ed-talks from inspiring leaders in education, morning yoga and mentorship session, making it a complete packaged experience to help the participants refine their business ideas.

The NIC is proud to announce the winning team of Hacktivate – Beyond The Classroom, and welcomes them as a startup of NIC Cohort 4. Beyond The Classroom is a startup that is fostering critical thinking and empathy amongst Pakistan’s future generations.

Under Hacktivate, we aim to conduct hackathons in various tech verticals by teaming up with the leaders of that particular industry and give participants a chance to solve the highlighted problems through innovative solutions.
