Apple and Huawei have already launched/showcased devices with 5G compatibility however Apple was lagging. People were shocked to know that the iPhone which was once considered as a status symbol is late in launching a device with 5G. According to previous rumours, Apple 5G compatible device will not make to market till 2021 however now it is revealed that we will be able to see Apple 5G iPhones in 2020. This news has come as a result after the settlement of Apple and Qualcomm dispute.

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will adopt 5G technology in the best way. Unexpectedly, all of its three upcoming models will have 5G. Previously Ming had predicted that only the expensive model of iPhone will support 5G.

Keep your expectations High as Apple 2020 iPhones will Support 5G

It seems that Apple is forced to make this move after looking at Android devices which were attracting users towards itself due to 5G support. Not only big brands like Samsung and Huawei have adopted the technology but also Oppo and Xiaomi are working on such devices.

According to the senior analyst, Android Phones currently support a sub-6GHz version of 5G and not the mmwave which offers more speed. While telling about Apple 5G iPhone, Kuo said that:

The key is that consumers will think that 5G is the necessary function in 2H20. Therefore, iPhone models which will be sold at higher prices have to support 5G for winning more subsidies from mobile operators and consumers’ purchase intention.”

Let’s see how a latecomer to 5G technology will conquer the market? Will it provide the mmwave version of 5G? Only time will answer these questions so let’s wait and watch.
