Apple iOS 11.3.1 Released: Here are the Key Features

Apple has launched a new Software update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. iOS 11.3.1 will fix all the bugs which previous update iOS 11.3 had. With Apple iOS 11.3.1, another update is released for the MacOS naming 10.13.4.

With iOS 11.3 released in late March and iOS 11.3.1 out today, Apple is also running a developer and public beta version of iOS 11.4, likely due out in late May or early June, which includes AirPlay 2 and Messages on iCloud.

Features of Apple iOS 11.3.1

The company reveals that Apple iOS 11.3.1 has improved security for your iPhone and iPad. The new update addresses an issue where touch input was unresponsive on some iPhone 8 devices because they were serviced with non-genuine replacement displays.

While telling about the update, Apple said that:

 “non-genuine replacement displays may have compromised visual quality and may fail to work correctly. Apple-certified screen repairs are performed by trusted experts who use genuine Apple parts.”

Available for: iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air and later, and iPod touch 6th generation

Impact: An application may be able to gain elevated privileges

Description: A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved error handling.

Available for: iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air and later, and iPod touch 6th generation

Impact: Processing a maliciously crafted text message may lead to UI spoofing

Description: A spoofing issue existed in the handling of URLs. This issue was addressed with improved input validation.

WebKit

Available for: iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air and later, and iPod touch 6th generation

Impact: Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution

Description: A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved state management.
