Now we have a good news for you! Apple has decided to fix this issue when it will release the final version iOS 12.1. Right now,  beta previews of iOS 12.1 are available, but one shouldn’t install the unstable operating system yet just to fix a charging problem.
Many people have also found that instead of turning on the screen or using wireless charging, plugging out of the Lightning cable and plugging it back will also allow their iPhone to charge.
