The iPhone maker, Apple revealed its plans to introduce new feature for helping parents control children’s use of iPhone and other Apple devices. The letter said that Apple should take notice of their devices leading to growing public health crisis of smartphone addiction in young people.
To this Apple released a statement which said:
“We have new features and enhancements planned for the future, to add functionality and make these tools even more robust
Apple also revealed that they do care for youngsters and stressed that it takes the issue of mobile addiction among young people very seriously.
Apple further added that:
“We think deeply about how our products are used and the impact they have on users and the people around them. We take this responsibility very seriously and we are committed to meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations, especially when it comes to protecting kids.”
Apple also told that it already has parental controls built into iOS that helps parents cater Apps, websites, movies, songs and books.
These already present tools can also restrict cellular data, password settings and other features. Apple said that parents can block or restrict things they don’t want their children to see or download. However some new parental control features are expected to be launch soon.
