Apple U1 Chip Let You Find Other Devices

The most interesting component of the Apple iPhone 11 and iPhone Pro is the new U1 chip. Though the company didn’t say a lot about the chip but we have a clue that in the future it will bring amazing capabilities to the iOS devices.

In the chip U1, the “U” stands for “ultra-wideband,” that is the technology company is using in the smartphones to power new location tracking features and it is expected that soon we will get to see it in the other devices and other accessories, too.

Apple U1 Chip Let You Find Other Devices

The U1 chip allows the latest iPhone to locate and communicate with other U1 devices in a very accurate and speedy manner. The ultra-wideband works as a low-energy, short-range radio technology that is using for wireless data transmission. And this time it is packed in the chip on Apple’s new phones, bringing the benefits of some nifty location tracking, such as improved spatial awareness and more precise pinpointing of fellow U1 chips.

Additionally, this new chip will allow the company’s wireless earbuds to better manage Bluetooth connections with iOS devices. The company did not promote the U1 officially, but on Apple’s website, it does have its own slide in the iPhone 11 promotional materials.
