Apple has announced that service inventory of all iPhone replacement batteries is now available without delay. This announcement has confirmed in an internal memo distributed to Apple Stores and its network of Apple Authorized Service Providers.

This means that it should be now easier to replace iPhone’s battery, without facing extended shipping delays. Now Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers can order iPhone replacement batteries from Apple and get them without delays, but it is not necessary that every Apple Store or authorized repair shop right now will have supply available.

Many iPhone user were worried about the slowing down of older iPhones and unexpected shutdowns due to old batteries. Apple announced its $29 battery replacement program, but many people reportedly did long wait because of short supply.

The BBC reported:

Apple was trying to up-sell some battery replacement customers by reportedly requiring them to pay for expensive repairs before they could replace their battery.

The information shared by Apple shared in internal memo is for the supply of batteries worldwide, but availability of iPhone replacement batteries will vary as with any supply-demand situation by Apple Store and region. Apple’s support website has also notified that the replacement process may take up to five business days.
