Apple iPhone 18 Pro & 18 Pro Max PTA Tax in Pakistan (100% Authentic)

Apple has officially launched the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, with both models receiving upgrades in performance, cameras, and battery life. The new Pro lineup starts at $1,199 for the iPhone 18 Pro and $1,299 for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, with 256GB storage as standard. Pre-orders begin on September 12, while availability starts on September 18 in major markets.

For buyers planning to bring either device into Pakistan, one of the additional costs will be the PTA registration tax. Imported iPhones must be registered through DIRBS before they can continue using Pakistani mobile networks.

Since the official FBR/PTA tax values for the newly launched iPhone 18 Pro series are not yet available, the figures below should be treated as early estimates.

iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max PTA Tax in Pakistan

Model Estimated PTA Tax on Passport Estimated PTA Tax on CNIC
Apple iPhone 18 Pro PKR 216,231 PKR 237,854
Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max PKR 223,181 PKR 245,499

The final amount may vary depending on FBR customs valuation, applicable duties, and the PKR/USD exchange rate at the time of registration.

How to Check and Pay iPhone 18 PTA Tax

Users can check the PTA status of their iPhone through the official DIRBS system by entering the device’s IMEI number.

The IMEI can be found by dialing *#06# or through the iPhone’s settings. After submitting the required identification details, DIRBS generates the applicable tax amount and payment reference.

Because the iPhone 18 series is newly launched, users should verify the official payable amount through DIRBS before making any payment.

Do Overseas Pakistanis Need to Pay Full PTA Tax?

Eligible overseas Pakistanis and international visitors may use the Temporary Mobile Registration facility for qualifying personal devices during their stay in Pakistan.

This allows a device to work temporarily on Pakistani cellular networks without immediately paying the full permanent registration tax. Users intending to keep the device active permanently will need to complete full PTA registration.

What Happens Without PTA Registration?

If an imported iPhone is not registered within the permitted period, its IMEI can be blocked from Pakistani mobile networks.

The phone will continue to work on Wi-Fi, but local SIM services such as calls, SMS, and mobile data will stop functioning until registration is completed.

Users should also check all IMEI numbers linked to their device, particularly where eSIM and dual-SIM functionality are involved.

Disclaimer: PTA tax figures are estimates and may change after official FBR valuation, exchange-rate adjustments, or revisions in applicable duties.
