16th December was a day when innocent lives were slain mercilessly last year. Fahd Mahmood Khan, fortunately, had his son’s life saved but couldn’t get the tragic views out of his mind. After the APS Attack he decided to build an application called Mohafiz to help people in emergencies.
APS Victim’s Father Creates Mohafiz Mobile App
Mohafiz is a life-saving application designed for emergencies. In Pakistan we have to face day-to-day threats although we have overcome many of these. By keeping in mind Fahd Khan created Mohafiz App which will help in medical emergencies, armed robberies, house fires and worst case scenario, terrorist attacks.
This App will allow a person to send distress signals to their loved ones. The app is completely compatible on both iOS and android. The app requires for user to simply add some personal information such as blood group, email address, gender. Also it offers the user a chance to send a distress call to he entire list of their emergency contacts on the touch of a button
How to Use the Mohafiz App:
- After launching the application two buttons will appear.
- The red button is for immediate emergency and pressing it will send your location and message of distress to your ICE (in case of emergency) numbers. If your GPRS is active, the same information will be send to your Facebook and Twitter also.
- The orange button is for progressing emergencies. While the rest of the procedure will remain same as the red button has.
Fahd khan hopes that such a service will help to avoid greater tragedies by offering better chance of assistance in a country with unreliable response time of ambulances and the police.
The App is available on Google Play Store
