Asus joins the selfie world and reveals ZenFone Selfie with 13MP front camera. Asus reveals the new smartphone at the Computex, the annual tech event in Taipei, Taiwan. Selfie lovers will enjoy taking more selfies with a high resolution front camera with amazing results. Untill now HTC Desire Eye was the only smartphone in this category but now they will face a direct competition from Asus ZenFone Selfie.
Besides the 13 MP front and rear camera, the ZenFone Selfie looks similar to the ZenFone 2. The smartphone comes with a 13 MP front and cameras with Toshiba sensor, along with dual flash for front and rear cameras. Both the cameras have low-light-friendly laser autofocus. The front camera comes with f/2.2 aperture with 24 mm wide angle lens and covers 88 degree wide angle for group selfies. The front camera also has a Panorama Mode for covering a greater area. While the rear camera come with f/2.0 aperture and a 28 mm lens.
The phone also offers an optional Swing attachment to adjust the selfie angle and it also works as a stand for keeping the phone on flat surfaces. The swing can be attached and detached easily.
Asus ZenFone Selfie is loaded with with a 5.5 inch Full HD display with 403ppi and has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 615 Octa core processor. This is the first time Asus is using Snapdargon chipset in its Zenfone smartphones before this they has been using Intel processor. Furthermore the phone will be offered in 2GB or 4GB of RAM options along with storage options of 16/32/64GB. The Asus ZenFone Selfie is expected to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The release date and price of the Asus ZenFone Selfie is still not known, but we hope to see the phone on the shelves soon.
