The overall reviews of the game are positive reviews, as it comes with an open world, visuals, combat, story, and characters. A new division has been launched in Wrocław and partnered with Digital Scapes to assist development. Over 400 development staff members were working on the game as of early 2019.

Dead Cells is developed and published by Motion Twin. It is available on Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It is a rogue-lite, Castlevania-inspired action-platformer, that allows you to explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle.
This game is the combination of procedurally-generated roguelike games and action-exploration-based Metroidvania games. The players are able to control a mass of cells that occupy and control the body of a deceased prisoner when the game starts. As players are exploring a series of dungeons and fight the creatures within, so they gather money, weapons, skins, abilities, and power-ups. When some enemies are defeated, they also drop cells, that can be used to get permanent power-ups that include additional health potions or new items that can be bought or found in later runs.
