Now a days fake messages are so famous in Pakistan which asks you to invest some money in order to subscribe for large price bonds. Our Government is working tirelessly to make people aware of such fake SMS for years. However due to unavailability of social media platforms and public outreach, this fake SMS propaganda is spreading like fire and has costed many people who lost their money due to these scams. Taking in view of this situation, BISP Collaborated with PTA & FIA to Curb Fake SMS.

Unscrupulous elements in society are involved in sending fake SMS messages to public offering financial benefits using Benazir Income Support programme name. Now Protect your SIM and protect you self.

Such Fake SMS costing people their money is a Cyber Crime and people indulged in such crime is punishable under FIA Act. Benazir Income Support programme has launched a campaign telling that they are not sending any such messages to give price bonds.

BISP has taken preventive measure to curb Fake messages which are as follows:

• Blocking of SIMs used for sending SMS.
• CNICs of SIM owners are blocked by PTA
• No SIMS can be issued against the same CNICs
• All equipment used along SIM is also blocked
• Case registration with FIA against such elements

So beware of Fake SMS viral in our society. If you have received any fake SMS, report immediately at 0800-26477. One can also submit your complaint at www.bisp.gov.pk.
