‘Broad Class-Listen To Learn’ Pakistan Makes It To The HundrED

HundrED is a global non-profit organization situated at Helsinki, Finland that is ambitious to discover and support inspirational and revolutionary innovations designed to improve the educational system from Kindergarten to Grade 12 normally known as K12 education.

Recently, The HundrED 2020 collection consisting of 100 innovations were disclosed on 6th November 2019 and guess what!? ‘Broad Class-Listen To Learn’ a Pakistani innovation was among them!

What Is Broad Class?

A fabulous innovation by Ms Fakhira Najib and the team at Power99 Foundation Islamabad, Pakistan, is simply a RADIO CLASSROOM!

It is an Interactive, Radio Instruction Program that helps train teachers and teaches students living in rural or isolated areas with the best of education from around the globe.

Impacts Of Broad Class On Pakistan’s Educational System

Mostly, students from rural areas in Pakistan go through great financial and mental stress from their homes, they don’t even find school entertaining or valuable enough to be motivated to study due to which the attendance is quite short. Moreover, the teachers belong to the same areas and lack exposure and experience. In this scenario, Broad Class may prove to be a teacher and a teacher trainer both at the same time.

The program intends to be affordable, handy and yet effective, to involve children fully into the educational environment and help them learn with fun by listening alone! Here is a demonstration for the innovation from a BROADCLASS.
