BYD Pakistan Offers Free Inspection, 50% Off Labor in Rawalpindi and Islamabad

BYD Pakistan is offering free vehicle inspections and half-price labor to customers in Rawalpindi and Islamabad through September 11, timing the offer to the seasonal wear that recent rains bring to EVs and hybrids alike.

BYD Pakistan is trying to keep customers close after the rain, not just after the sale.

The company has launched a limited-time vehicle care offer for BYD owners in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, giving them a free vehicle check-up along with a 50% discount on labor charges. The promotion runs until September 11, 2026, leaving customers in the two cities a narrow window to get their cars inspected and serviced at a reduced rate.

What’s Actually on Offer

The terms are straightforward. Every BYD vehicle registered in Rawalpindi or Islamabad qualifies for a complimentary check-up, and any labor work identified during that inspection is billed at half price for the duration of the campaign. BYD tied the timing directly to the region’s recent rainy weather, positioning the offer as maintenance support rather than a sales push, a response to how changing conditions affect vehicle performance rather than an attempt to move inventory.

The company promoted the campaign under the line “The weather changes. Our commitment doesn’t,” framing it as an extension of after-sales support rather than a one-off marketing stunt.

A Newer Brand Still Building Trust

The offer lands at a point where BYD is still establishing itself as a long-term presence in Pakistan rather than an import experiment. The company entered the market with electric and plug-in hybrid models including the Atto 3, Atto 2, Seal, and Shark 6 pickup, and has been expanding its dealership footprint across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, and smaller cities. More significantly, BYD has partnered with Mega Motor Company, a subsidiary of Hub Power Company, Pakistan’s largest independent power producer, to begin local assembly near Port Qasim in Karachi, a joint venture aimed at cutting prices and improving parts availability as the plant comes online.

For a brand still working to convince buyers that service and spare parts won’t be a headache down the line, a visible, time-bound after-sales gesture like this one does double duty. It gives existing owners a concrete reason to walk into a service center, and it signals to prospective buyers weighing BYD against established Japanese and Korean brands that the company is investing in ownership experience, not just showroom sales.

Why It Matters

Electric and hybrid vehicles carry maintenance concerns that differ from conventional cars, from battery health to software-dependent systems, and buyer hesitation around EV upkeep remains one of the more commonly cited barriers to adoption in Pakistan, alongside charging infrastructure. A free check-up for Pakistan’s shifting weather patterns gives BYD a low-cost way to get vehicles into service centers proactively, catching small issues before they become expensive ones and reinforcing that the brand’s service network can actually support what it’s selling.

It seems like a small offer in isolation, but for a company staking its long-term Pakistan strategy on local assembly and an ambitious government EV adoption target, small trust-building moves like this one are part of the groundwork for what BYD is betting will be a much bigger push once local production ramps up.
