Call setup charges by Mobilink

It has been said that Mobilink will deduct call setup charge of 10 paisas on every call next to January 1st, 2013.
Call setup charges would be charged on a per call basis and these charges are applied on just answered calls.

According to the experience of Pakistani cellular industry, it can be assumed that other networks will follow Mobilink in imposing call setup charges.

Mobilink says that from December 28^th it is going to charge you 10 paisa+tax on every call that you connect. This is going to be added to the original call rate on which you are making that call. Earlier, this charging was not done on the “discounted” calls but now Mobilink says that even these calls are going to be charged with this tax by the largest mobile service provider in the country.

Following this step of Mobilink all the cellular operators have now started deducting call setup charges and when asked by PTA to ban these charges. Then they went to Islamabad High Court after the order of PTA and luckily got an order in their favor. Now every call made to any network is being charged with an additional amount of 10 paisa per call.
