Many women shared that how much they are happy with this decision of government. A women who attended first training workshop said that its a very happy moment when you help someone by giving lift.

Alawwami, a Careem female driver said:

“The first thing that made me think about working for Careem was our great need to drive. “As women in Saudi, we need a man for our smallest commuting needs, and the local taxi service is not sufficiently available where I live.”

Careem wants to hire more than 10,000 female drivers by june 2018 as the ban will be lifted on this month. No doubt, female drivers will provide better service to women riders who are not comfortable with male captain.

Careem has revealed that female driver option will be available to female riders or families. However Uber and Careem are also expected to loose many customers as women will prefer to travel by their own.

However may be female drivers will attract many women and they will prefer to use these ride hailing services which will in turn raise revenues of these services.
