CCTV Cameras to Monitor Exam Halls in Rawalpindi

The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) is taking significant steps to enhance the integrity and transparency of its examinations. In a bid to curb malpractices, the board has announced plans to install CCTV cameras in all examination centers across the Rawalpindi Division.

This move comes as part of a broader effort to modernize the examination process. Alongside the enhanced surveillance system, BISE will also implement upgrades to its paper marking procedures for annual, supplementary, and practical exams.

Board Chairman Adnan Khan has instructed officials to gather detailed information on the existing CCTV infrastructure in government schools and colleges within the Rawalpindi Division. Institutions lacking adequate surveillance systems will be equipped with cameras immediately.

Furthermore, to ensure fairness and transparency, examination papers will now be opened and distributed in front of students under the direct observation of CCTV cameras. This measure aims to eliminate any possibility of malpractice during the crucial initial stages of the examination process.

To further enhance the examination process, a seminar on the upgraded paper marking system will be held on December 17 at Rawalpindi Women’s University. The event will bring together key stakeholders, including the Provincial Education Minister, education secretaries, directors of colleges, education experts, professors, and teachers.

This seminar will provide a platform for participants to share their insights and offer valuable suggestions for further improvements to the examination system. By incorporating these recommendations, BISE aims to create a more robust and equitable examination environment for all students.
