CDA Calls Upon PTA to Move Towers from Residential Areas
The Emergency and Disaster Management (E&DM) unit of the CDA wrote a letter to the Chairman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. It has been commended to take severe action against radiation spreading over the towers of several telecoms.

The letter mentioning the sources from the Internet and different websites, states that mobile towers are instigating dire health limitations across Pakistan, particularly in Islamabad.
It further adds that the drift of these towers is accountable to give birth to billions of complex diseases.
The letter also claims that,
“The rate of sudden strokes, cardiac arrests, heart attacks, liver tribulations and overall body response & well-being has been adversely affected due to high-grade radiations thrown by these towers within the residential areas in particular and generally every bit and corner of the capital city.”
It also entreated for a policy review, and transferring all such high grade radiation releasing gadgetry away from inhabited areas. Therefore promising the life and protection of innocent residents in every street, sector and colony of Islamabad
The Emergency & Disaster Management unit has also directed steps that can alleviate the damage in future. Beginning with a huge awareness campaign for the general public like the tobacco companies few years ago. The letter further demands the transfer of these towers away from residential areas to the environs encouraging the CDA’s enforcement department.
The letter cautions of a curb against unlawfully built towers. Action will be taken by law implementation agencies.
