Chairman PTA Dr Ismail Shah Visits NIC- Encourages the Startups

Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Dr. Ismail Shah today visited the newly established National Incubation Center (NIC). Dr. Shah also met the startups who are presently getting training at NIC and listened to their ideas. Dr. Ismail met the Director of NIC Mr. Parvez Abbasi and appreciated NIC’s efforts in providing startups with a free of cost work-space, incubation and acceleration.

The National Incubation Center (NIC) was established in Feb, 2017 under the collaboration of MoIT, ICT R&D Fund, Jazz and TeamUp. NIC successfully selected around 80 startups from across the entire Pakistan. It aims to provide house to these 80 startups with access to a state-of-the-art global facility.

Apart from excellent mentor-ship other services at NIC include free broadband internet, silent rooms, gaming zone, curriculum for startup education, best business leaders as mentors, and an innovation lab designed on international standards.
