ColorOS 17 Set to Launch on September 17 Alongside Oppo Find X10 Series

Oppo has confirmed that ColorOS 17 will officially launch on September 17, 2026. The company is expected to introduce the new software at the ColorOS 17 Launch and Developer Conference. The event will also reportedly mark the debut of the Oppo Find X10 series.

ColorOS 17 will be based on Android 17 and will bring several changes to the user interface. One of the biggest additions is a new floating island navigation system. It will appear across the operating system and many built-in apps.

The new navigation system focuses heavily on animations and touch feedback. Elements can stretch, compress, and bounce back when users interact with them. Oppo is also expected to improve overall system performance. The company claims the new software can deliver around 35% smoother interface performance, 20% faster cold app launches, and a 50% improvement in the number of apps that can remain active in the background.

ColorOS 17 has already entered closed beta testing. Testing began in early August on some newer Oppo devices, giving selected users an early look at the redesigned navigation and animations.

Following the official launch, the software is expected to expand to more than 130 devices across Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme. The rollout will likely take place in stages, depending on the device and market.

Oppo Find X10 Series Could Bring Major Hardware Upgrades

The Find X10 lineup is also expected to take the spotlight at the September 17 event. Current reports suggest Oppo could introduce three models in the series.

The standard Find X10 is rumored to feature a compact 6.59-inch 1.5K display. It could also pack an 8,000mAh battery and a dual-camera setup with two 200MP sensors. The system is expected to include a main camera and a periscope telephoto camera.

The Find X10 Pro and Find X10 Pro Max are expected to offer larger displays, measuring around 6.78 inches or more. They could also use the more powerful Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.

The Find X10 Pro Max is expected to be the most advanced model in the lineup. Rumors suggest it could feature three 200MP cameras for the main, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses. This would make the phone one of Oppo’s most camera-focused flagships.

All three models are expected to run ColorOS 17 out of the box.
