Last days we heard a news that “US hacked the NTC Pakistan to spy on the military and political leadership”. The news appeared on many websites and even TV channels that the National Telecom Authority (NTA) came forward and cleared the misconception on the issue. NTC said that the Communication of Civil and Military Leaders not Hacked.
National Telecom Authority has completely rejected all such reports and put a stance that the country will compromise on the communications of its top military and civil leadership.
Communication of Civil and Military Leaders not Hacked: NTC
NTA officials said that:
“The Green Line Communication Network is a dedicated standalone hardware intensive system with no connectivity with internet cloud.
It further asserted that:
“The Green Line Exchanges of NTC are connected with secure fiber link having no link with public Switching System of NTC or any other telecom operators. Therefore, the possibility of any intrusion on main communication lines under question is ruled out and accessing these exchanges through internet or implanting any malware is extremely remote.”
The news agencies supported their claim of hacking by mentioning that Pakistan’s military communication system can easily be hacked as it uses British and American made products. But NTC also replied to this by saying that these gadgets are used on 50% and after confirmation it is announced that none of our secret communication has been hacked.
