Increase In Pension Of The Retired Employees Of PTCL-Discussed
Conclusions To Be Drawn By 21st May 2019
A parliamentary panel on Tuesday sought response by setting up a time frame of 21st May 2019 for the comments which it has shared with Pakistan Telecommunication Employees Trust (PTET) to determine a final conclusion.
Sub-Committee of Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunication (IT&T) in its meeting on Tuesday discussed the issue of payment of the increase in pension of the retired employees of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) payable by the Pakistan Telecommunication Employees Trust (PTET).
The meeting was held with Senator Engineer Rukhsana Zuberi as its convener and was attended among others by Abdul Rehman Malik, Senior officers of Ministry IT&T, PTET and others. Convener of the Sub Committee called for an amicable solution of the issue in favour of the pensioners.
The committee sought response by setting up a time frame of 21st May 2019 for the comments which it has shared with PTET to determine a final conclusion.
Senator Rukhasana Zuberi observed that PTET has enough resources and the pensioners need to be provided relief.
