Customer Alleges Jazz Paid Package Failed Despite Active Balance, Seeks PTA Investigation

A Jazz customer has lodged a complaint with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, alleging that a paid family package remained unusable despite appearing active in the Jazz World app and showing a substantial remaining balance.

The complainant said he subscribed to the Jazz We Fantastic package on September 23, 2026, paying approximately Rs 6,000. According to the complaint, the package continued to appear active in the app with around Rs 4,782 in balance, but services were not working on the primary number or on five linked users.

The customer said he contacted the Jazz helpline multiple times and also visited a franchise, but the issue remained unresolved. He said he has retained call recordings, screenshots, and payment evidence to support his complaint.

The complaint further claims that other customers at the franchise were experiencing similar problems, though this has not been independently verified.

Customer Raises Questions Over Validity Loss and Possible Double Payment

A key concern raised in the complaint is that package validity continues to run even when paid services are unavailable.

The customer argued that if a package remains unusable for two or three days, users may lose part of the paid validity period and may be forced to buy another package to restore connectivity.

He did not accuse Jazz of deliberately causing the problem but asked PTA to determine whether the issue was a technical fault and whether affected users should receive compensation, refunds, or extensions to package validity.

The complainant has asked PTA to investigate whether other Jazz subscribers are facing the same problem, whether Jazz’s billing and customer-service practices comply with applicable rules, and whether customers are effectively being pushed into purchasing new packages while existing paid bundles remain unusable.

He has also requested restoration of the service, an extension for the affected period, and compensation or a refund where applicable.

At the time of writing, the complaint represents the customer’s allegations. A response from Jazz or a formal finding from PTA would be needed to establish the cause of the service failure or whether any regulatory violation occurred.
