Dell Collaborates to set up 26 e-Libraries in Punjab
The chief minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Chief Minister’s Secretariat said that the establishment of an e-library in the college was an invaluable gift for the students on the occasion of the Independence Day. “Dell is setting up 26 e-libraries in Punjab, while it will also impart training to 100 boy and girl students in each district of the province regarding the use of modern technology,”. He added that training events for students would also be organized in Malaysia and Turkey.
Shahbaz Sharif is working hard for the progress of Punjab. He said that the aim of progress and prosperity can only be achieved by equipping the young generation with the latest knowledge. Punjab government has adopted a solid strategy for the promotion of information technology in the province and IT has been introduced in various government departments.
The Vice President DELL Company Tian Bing said that development vision and education reforms programme of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is highly praiseworthy. He said that DELL company is increasing its service centers in Lahore, whereas 26 E-libraries are also being set up in Punjab.
General Manager Dell Corporation South Asia, Sardar Harjeet Singh, Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, Country Manager Dell Corporation for Pakistan and Afghanistan, Chairman Planning & Development, Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board and Secretary Higher Education were also present in the meeting.
