DTS Islamabad Launches E-Licensing Portal

The Department of Tourist Services, Islamabad (DTS, Islamabad) recently launched an E-licensing portal to facilitate citizens. It will provide online services to its users of travel and hospitality trade in ICT and GB. Sources claim that this portal has been established with the technical support of the National Information Technology Board (NITB).

E-Licensing Portal Launched in Pakistan

DTS, Islamabad has been currently working under the IPC Ministry. Secretary IPC admired the collaborative efforts of DTS and NITB in reaching this milestone. He stated that the Government of Pakistan is committed to providing quality services to consumers. Moreover, he firmly believes that this development will go a long way in standardizing government services. DNA stated:

“Now travel, hotel, and restaurant management can avail of online E-services that are efficient, cost-effective, and environment friendly.”

A few weeks ago, the newly elected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government launched an online facility for renewing driving licenses. As per the details, overseas Pakistanis will be able to send their applications through the email facility for this purpose.

In this regard, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government sent a resume to the foreign ministry to notify Pakistani missions across the globe. KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that KP became the first among all four provinces to launch such an online system after overseas Pakistanis demanded the facility for their convenience.
