On Tuesday, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication has inaugurated mobile App “Durust Daam” at National Information Technology Board (NITB).
Durust Daam App Launches in Islamabad
“Durust Daam” App will update the users about the precise and accurate prices of the commodities available in the market. It will set a proper system in order to control profiteering by shopkeepers. Through the App citizens of Islamabad will now get the information about the updated prices of essential items such as poultry, vegetables, fruits, and other items on their fingertips.
The app is also allowing the citizens of Islamabad to register a complaint against shopkeepers violating the listed prices.
On the occasion of the launch event, the Federal Minister for IT mentioned in a statement that the App will be helpful in transparency and good governance. He further said that steps like this must be taken across the country.
The Federal Minister for IT appreciated NITB for developing the App. Via an app, users can get the latest and old rates of commodities. On the click of the single item, one can find a detailed comparison of prices on different dates to find out trends in the product price.
