For Messenger, the new AR features are for brands. The social network will allow brands to use AR effects on Messenger, such as “trying on” new products. Users can also save and share the AR images they discover with friends. The network will initially partner with Nike, Asus, Kia, and Sephora for the launch of the initiative.
The new feature introduced for Messenger will help the brands to promote their business. However, Facebook has not revealed any information about the global release of the feature.
Instagram will also receive AR Studio, which allows people to create their own AR effects and filters. Using AR Studio, creators will be able to design unique, interactive camera experiences, including face filters and world effects, for their followers on Instagram.
