Facebook Launches New Privacy Tool to Make User’s Data Safe

After receiving inevitable backlashes due to privacy scandals, Facebook has finally decided to clear the rust away from its name by launching a new feature on and off that are related to Users’ privacy. Today, the social media app has launched a new Facebook privacy Tool that will allow users to control how different websites share their data. The name of the new tool is Off-Facebook Activity. With this tool, users will be able to see and control the data apps and website share with the social network.

Initially, this new feature will be launched for users residing in Ireland, South Korea and Spain. But in a span of a few months, this feature will be made available to everyone.

What is Off-Facebook Activity? Will it be Useful?

Usually, we see the whole bunch of information on Facebook, that other apps or websites sent to it through business tools. You would be able to disable Off-facebook activity from your account. The app will facilitate you to either disable all off-Facebook activities or select any specific websites or apps.

When you disable this option, Facebook will remove your info from the data that apps and websites choose to send to the social media platform.

Let’s see whether this feature will make Facebook a user private platform or not. Moreover, Facebook is adding “From Facebook” tag to its baby companies, Instagram and WhatsApp. WhatsApp latest beta update users have already received this tag.
