Facebook Messenger Lite Officially Rolls Out for iOS

Just a few days back, Facebook confirmed that it is now testing a Lite iOS version of its Social Media App. During the testing program, Company rolled out Facebook Messenger Lite for a limited number of users so that they can pick up the flaws and bugs in the app.
Today, Facebook announced that Facebook Lite Messenger or iOS is officially available for download. However, right now the Facebook Lite is only available in Turkey.  As this is a beta version of the app, so Facebook has rolled it out for one country. Otherwise, Facebook had rolled it out for other countries too.
The fact is that the Facebook Lite is much smaller in size than its non-Lite counterpart. It will just take 5MB on iOS. In addition to that, it also uses less power and significantly fewer data. Less data and power usage are generally much more important in developing markets where unlimited or even cheap data plans aren’t as prevalent. So, the rollout of Facebook Lite starting in such countries does make a bit of sense.
