Facebook Tests Instagram Feed-like Feature “Popular Photos”

You do have noticed that you will see videos recommended by Facebook on scroll down when you watch a video on the Facebook app. Which in my opinion, is a good way to watch the content of your choice. However, some reports are claiming that Facebook is in the process of bringing this feature for photos as well. Also, Facebook will call this feature “Popular Photos”.

Facebook is Testing Instagram Feed-like Feature called “Popular Photos”

Currently, you enter the full-screen mode when you tap on a photo. You also watch the videos with a black background. Moreover, you are taken back, when you scroll down or swipe on it.

However, the upcoming Popular Photos feature of Facebook will let you see more photos from your friends and other public posts by scrolling down. This feature will give you an Instagram feed-like experience. Moreover, Facebook has also ensured that photo captions will only be 65 characters.

This is all that we currently know about this feature. No doubt, many other features of Instagram and Facebook are quite the same.

The question here arises in my mind is that when both apps will have the same functionality then what will be the reason for the people to use both apps? What do you think in this regard? Do tell us in the comment section below.
