Facebook to Build World’s Biggest Wind Powered Data Center. Back in July 2015, Mark Zuckerberg announced that the Fort Worth data center will be the fifth data center. And that it will be one of the most advanced and energy efficient data centers in the world.

Facebook CEO Zuckerberg visited the Data Center at Fort Worth, Texas. He said that this Data Center will be one of the biggest data centers in the world. And it will be powered by wind energy. The data center will come online next month.

It’s Going to be One of the Biggest Data Centers in the World and it’s Powered Entirely by Wind Energy

Mark Zuckerberg further added that,

“This site was a dirt field just a year and a half ago. Now almost 1,000 people work here every day. I was also impressed that 43% of the full-time employees at the data center are veterans. It goes to show that data centers like this one aren’t just important to keep our service up and running, they’re also important parts of the community.”

He also informed that data centers power Facebook and will help connect billions of people around the world in the upcoming years.
