Facebook to Launch Merging of News Feed With Stories

Currently, Facebook is testing to merge the News Feed and Stories features into a single interface, just like we all have experienced in the like Snapchat and Instagram.

The News Feed and Stories feature will be combined into a single feed, where you can swipe posts instead of vertically scrolling. This feature was spotted by app researcher Jane Manchun Wong in the Android version of Facebook.

Presently, Facebook News Feed and Stories have two different interfaces for its over 2.2 billion monthly active users. A spokesperson from Facebook has reported that currently, the company is not testing this feature publicly.

According to the Verge:

“In this new design, Stories and News Feed posts — including text posts, pictures, videos, and sponsored posts – appear as part of the same interface,”

There is no information that when the company will roll out this feature but we hope that soon we will get to see this feature within the app.

Other than that, Facebook has also released Messenger Dark Mode globally. The dark mode is a getting so popular among the users and this is the reason that all the social media giants like YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram, etc have already launched dark modes for their platforms. Now, finally, Facebook has launched this feature for its users.
