Currently, Facebook is testing to merge the News Feed and Stories features into a single interface, just like we all have experienced in the like Snapchat and Instagram.
The News Feed and Stories feature will be combined into a single feed, where you can swipe posts instead of vertically scrolling. This feature was spotted by app researcher Jane Manchun Wong in the Android version of Facebook.

Presently, Facebook News Feed and Stories have two different interfaces for its over 2.2 billion monthly active users. A spokesperson from Facebook has reported that currently, the company is not testing this feature publicly.
