Social Media Giant, Facebook to Launch New job Opening Features. Facebook was testing a feature that will allow Page admins to create Job postings. According to this new feature, they can also get applications from candidates. No doubt, this feature of Facebook is a big threat to LinkedIn.

This new Facebook option will allow the page administrations to share a job opening with related details. These details can be job title, salary or full-time versus part-time jobs. Not only this, the job posting will be done in special eye catching format.

A Facebook spokesperson said about the features:

“Based on behavior we’ve seen on Facebook, where many small businesses post about their job openings on their Page, we’re running a test for Page admins to create job postings and receive applications from candidates,”

Page Admins can see this option in Jobs tab of the Page. This feature has not been rolled out in all the Facebook pages.

This feature is a big threat to LinkedIn. As LinkedIn is earning only from job postings and Job seekers. On the other side, this feature will also help the users to search for a job in an easy way.

Facebook recently has announced its 3rd quarter report of 2016. Facebook now has 1.8 Billion active users. Good news for Facebook is that, its revenue increases more than 50 percent over the same period last year. Surely, this step will also improve the users experience.
