All the social media companies have given millions of dollars to avail the rights to video highlights for the tournament hosted by Russia. Bloomberg reported that Fox will maintain its rights to use highlights of World Cup.

Fox sports announced its partnership with Facebook last month for live streaming of UEFA Champions League matches during 2017-18 season.

Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat’s growing interest in live videos including sports will be beneficial for Fox Inc. Fox will get new source of generating revenue for games, other tools and sponsorship to promote its coverage.
