FATA Adopts the Punjab’s Smart School System Initiative
Punjab government has recently transformed its system under the open data strategy. To make this strategy more effective in education sector, the government of Punjab launched a system for smart monitoring of all the public schools throughout the province during the Year 2015. The service benefited the users to check the statistics of almost 52695 schools. Different maps and annual evaluation data can also be checked from the service.
FATA Adopts the Punjab’s Smart School System Initiative
The effectiveness of the system can be measured by the recent development in FATA. The education sector of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) has decided to replicate Punjab’s Smart School Monitoring System at government schools.
The Component leader Fayyaz Ali Khan and Muhammad Tahir from FATA Development Programmed (FDA) Education along with the Chairman Umar Saif of PITB took the initiative. Being an expert, Dr. Saif gave guidelines on the effectiveness and implementation of the system to the penal. While giving the briefing Dr.Saif said;
“Punjab leads in providing public access to the monitoring data of 53000 public schools a few months ago so that the parents may also monitor the working of schools and the teachers while sitting in their home.The system has yielded remarkable results that show that the attendance of the teachers and students has been increased manifold as compared to the past.”
In response to that Fayyaz Ali Khan encouraged the modern IT techniques followed by the Punjab government. He aimed that this effective system will help the education level of FATA. The computerized fast system will also upgrade the data collecting techniques.
