FIA Announces a New Web Portal for Registering Cyber Crime Complaints in Sindh

FIA has launched a new web Portal for registering complaints regarding cyber crime. In this way Sindh Government will be able to eradicate cyber crimes from the province. During a media briefing, Dr. Amir Ahmed Sheikh, Director FIA launched web portal in Karachi. FIA Announces a New Web Portal for Registering Cyber Crime Complaints in Sindh.

Due to low internet rates and rise of 3G/4G, and social media, the cyber crimes are also increasing. The new web portal is launched to meet the ever increasing cyber crimes in our society.

FIA Announces a New Web Portal for Registering Cyber Crime Complaints in Sindh

Dr. Amir Said in a statement:

“The new online complaint reporting will make it easy to lodge complaints. It will also help FIA in efficiently responding to such crimes. This online complaint system will be more useful for young girls, women and young children who are frequent victims of Harassment as they do not need to physically visit our reporting center.”

When some one will register a complaint, and SMS will be sent to the affected person from FIA within 24 to 48 hours. The message will have the number of designated FIA’s investigation officer.

Dr. Amir also revealed that in cyber crime cases, 70% of the victims are women and young girls, and about 30% of the victims are male.
