Firefox Icon to Get a Makeover Again
Are you ready for a new look for Firefox icon again? Mozilla has started another effort to modernize the icon. This time the plan is not just to make a new Firefox icon but to craft a family of icons in order to accommodate the brand’s different ventures, from mobile and VR browsers, to screenshot and file sharing tools.
Redesigning of the Firefox icon will be done with a little help of users. The company has shared two design system approaches to get feedback from its users. These two options offer a “master brand” icon.
Firefox Icon is getting a new look
Mozilla has shared options for a general browser icon too, that is more singularly focused browser icon along with symbols for some of its standalone apps.
The company said:
“Each individual icon will undergo several rounds of refinement, or may change entirely, between now and their respective product launches, Our focus at this point is on the system.”
It is not the first time that the Mozilla has changed the design. Last year in December, it launched a bolder, brighter, and simplified icon for Firefox, That icon was less about fur and more about a being made of flame.
The company is not asking for users to submit their own ideas for designs, it’s just looking for feedback on the design ideas.
