Fortnite Account Merging Feature Will Be Delayed

Epic Games founder Tim Sweeney has tweeted that the Fortnite Account Merging Feature may be delayed. With the help of Account Merging feature, players would be able to merge Epic Accounts from any platform in order to combine their stats and inventories into one account.

It was planned to be available in November. Currently, Players can play with friends on other platforms, but they must be friends on Epic Games, not only PlayStation Network or Xbox live will work.

Fortnite Account Merging Feature May be Postponed

The Fortnite Team said:

Heya folks, In our previous blog about Account Linking we stated: “In November, we’re going to release an “account merging” system so you can combine multiple console-linked accounts to transfer Battle Royale cosmetic item purchases, lifetime wins, V-Bucks, and Save the World campaign access.”
No doubt, this announcement makes many players very upset who were waiting anxiously for the feature.
According to Fortnite Team, the Account Merge feature has been delayed just because of some technical issues but it will be delayed until early next year.  The company want to ensure that the feature is working properly. They are testing it thoroughly and properly. The team is only concerned about the feature’s smooth performance before releasing it to users.
