Full Mobile Network at D-Chowk while Rest of the Islamabad Deprives

Its a common thought that when two elephants fight in the jungle, it’s the grass that suffers most. The people of Islamabad has unfortunately became the sufferers among the Government and the religious group. From 3 days there is complete cellular suspension of mobile networks in the Capital city, Islamabad; in order to hinder communication between the pro-Qadri supporters. The unavailability of mobile networks has greatly affected the daily life of Islamabadians.

Interestingly, the only place with full cellular coverage is itself the “D-Chowk”-Red Zone. The dawn news reporter Mr. Naeem Raza himself experienced the interrupted signals in the Red zone area. As he said:

“I have observed that the closer we are to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s (PTA) building, the stronger cellular signals are.”

He also added ;

“We are also wondering why cellular service has been suspended in the twin cities if signals are strong in D-Chowk.”

Now this situation is quite hilarious as the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) officials are negating the observed fact and continuously insisting that there is network in D-Chowk. One PTA official who was not authorized to speak on sitaution said that:

“Service is suspended at D-Chowk and nearby areas and I cannot confirm when it will be resumed and the services have been suspended on Ministry strict directions.”
