Galaxy S26 Series to Mark Exynos Comeback Amid Bold New Plans

Samsung hasnโ€™t officially launched the Galaxy S25 lineup yet, but attention is already shifting to the highly anticipated Galaxy S26 series. According to the latest rumors, the S6 series will launch in January 2026. The tech giant aims to bring Exynos chips back into the limelight for its flagship models, marking a significant shift in strategy.

Galaxy S26 Series Could Ditch Snapdragon in Favor of Exynos 2600

According to a well-known tipster, Samsung is working to โ€œsignificantlyโ€ integrate the Exynos 2600 chipset across the Galaxy S26 lineup. The company allegedly took this step following the Exynos 2500โ€™s production struggles, which led Samsung to opt for Qualcommโ€™s Snapdragon 8 Elite for the S25 series in nearly all regions. The tech giant has reportedly resolved the yield issues and Samsung now appears ready to revive its in-house chips, starting with devices like the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Flip FE, before scaling up to the S26 series.

If it pans out, Samsung will reduce its reliance on Qualcomm, a long-term goal that makes sense from a business perspective. However, the tech giant still needs to prove that its Exynos chips can deliver better performance and efficiency than that of their Snapdragon counterparts.

Furthermore, some leaks suggest a possible naming overhaul for the S26 series. The vanilla Galaxy S26 might be dumped, with the Ultra version potentially being rebranded as the Galaxy S26 Note. On the other hand, the Plus model could take on the title S26 Pro. Anyhow, these all are speculations. There have been no official words regarding this highly anticipated series yet. If Samsung succeeds in fine-tuning its Exynos chips, the Galaxy S26 series will become a turning point for the company. Stay tuned for more updates!
