Galaxy S27 Ultra Leak Reveals Camera Processing Improvements

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S27 Ultra in early 2027. Ahead of the official announcement, a new leak has revealed possible changes to the camera processing of the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is already rumored to feature a redesigned rear camera setup and fewer sensors than the current Galaxy S26 Ultra. Now, well-known tipster Ice Universe has shared details about three camera processing changes that could arrive with Samsung’s next Ultra flagship.
Galaxy S27 Ultra Leak Reveals Camera Processing Improvements
Warmer Camera Colors
One of the reported changes is a shift in color processing. The Galaxy S27 Ultra will produce warmer colors compared with the cooler tones seen on some previous Galaxy Ultra models.
This could give photos a different overall look, particularly in scenes where color temperature has a noticeable impact on the image.
Better Highlight Control
The Galaxy S27 Ultra will also offer improved highlight control. This is expected to be particularly useful when photographing small, bright objects from a distance.
According to the leak, the improvement could work with both the main camera and the 5x telephoto camera. Better highlight handling could help preserve more detail in bright areas instead of allowing them to appear overly exposed.
Improved Low-Light Images
Samsung may also be working on smoother image processing for low-light photography. The Galaxy S27 Ultra will produce images with less visible noise in darker areas.
If the reported changes make it into the final device, users could see cleaner-looking night photos while retaining more detail in shadowy parts of a scene.
Galaxy S27 Ultra Camera Setup
Ice Universe has also reiterated that the Galaxy S27 Ultra could feature only the 5x telephoto camera carried over from the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This follows earlier reports suggesting that Samsung may reduce the number of rear camera sensors on the upcoming flagship.
The main camera will use Samsung’s ISOCELL HP6 sensor, described as a custom version of the company’s HPC sensor.
Samsung has not officially confirmed these camera specifications or processing changes. Since the Galaxy S27 Ultra is still several months away from its expected launch, the final camera hardware and software could change before the phone becomes official.
