Galaxy Smartwatch To Pop With New Health and Bixby Features

Samsung is upgrading the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active with a host of new features launched with the Galaxy Watch Active 2, our choice of Android users ‘ best smartwatch. These include new Bixby Voice features, more watch facing customization options, new Samsung Health features, and a Galaxy Watch Active touch bezel interface.

It should be especially welcome to add the touch bezel feature to the Galaxy Watch Active after complaining in our review that it missed the rotating bezel of previous Samsung smartwatches. When we reviewed the Galaxy Watch Active 2, the touch bezel interface felt intuitive, so hopefully it translates well into its predecessor. Additionally, the Galaxy Watch already has a revolving mechanical lunette

New Features Of Samsung Smartwatch

On both Tizen-based smartwatches, Samsung also updates a range of Ui elements. Icons for in-use apps have been shifted, the current time is now visible when using the stopwatch app or calling, and the icons on the quick panel of the watch are now easier to customize. New configuration options are also open, including 24 new subdials and complications, for a total of 41.

Samsung Health on both watches gets a few new features. When running or cycling, the Daily Active feature will now keep track of fitness goals and lap times, and a new low heart rate alert feature will also be available.

What to Expect?

It’s great to see two of Samsung’s previous smartwatches receiving big updates, especially if you can pick up the Galaxy Watch Active for about $80 less than Samsung’s US store successor. You will get a monitor and battery slightly smaller, but the two watches share the same Exynos 9110 chipset. While you wouldn’t save any money by choosing Galaxy Smartwatch over Active model, its th eone to go for if you need a mechanically rotating bezel.

Samsung says that the new updated will be rolling out region to region.
