Galaxy Z Fold 6 Surfaced On Geekbench
The tech giant Samsung is anticipated to launch its next-gen flagship foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, on July 10. There have been several rumors and leaks about the much-anticipated Galaxy Foldables. Despite all the rumors, there are still some missing pieces of the puzzle. Recently, Galaxy Z Fold 6 appeared on Geekbench finally confirming what we suspected from the start.
The Geekbench listing 6 scoresheet reveals a carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold6 running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The device achieved a lower score than an average SD8 Gen 3-powered handset, however, that could be due to it being a pre-production sample. Some supplementary tuning is always needed before being released out in the wild. Isn’t it? The scorecard also confirms at least one memory option. The one tested here is 12GB RAM.
Anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 6 Specs
It is pertinent to mention here that the design of the upcoming foldable devices has already been leaked via 3D CAD renders. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will arrive with some notable changes. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will more or less remain the same as compared to its predecessor. As per the details, the Fold 6 will arrive with a boxy design, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Z Fold 6 won’t have a built-in S Pen. Additionally, it will be shorter and wider for better aspect ratios for the displays. On the other hand, the Flip 6 will be thicker, indicating a large battery size. Anyhow, these are all anticipations and rumors based on leaks. We are still two months away from the launch, so we will have to wait until some official information about the devices pops up.
Aside from the Z Fold 6, there are rumors of Samsung working on a more affordable foldable smartphone, possibly priced around $800. The tech giant is tipped to strengthen its position in the competitive Chinese smartphone market.
